What is Spa?
There is talk in both SPA around, but many of us do not know for sure what is a spa, what its origin and purpose among many others.
The SPA is a resort where you can perform in touch with nature, and provides leisure and relaxation in one place. They are usually associated with swimming pools and bathtubs, but this thought is not wrong. The word "spa" comes from Latin and means "health through water '.

The SPA began to become popular in the mid-twentieth century and is considered a space where treatments are performed with water, steam or infusions, usually complemented with massage and non-invasive medical treatments (podiatry, nutrition, etc ...) and, more recently, aparatologia usually Asociadas aesthetics (hair, body reaffirmation).

According to the International SPA Association, currently there are several types of SPA, all start from the basic concept of thermal spa, but they have characteristics which make take your rating. Examples include the spa city, spa doctor, SPA Hotel, Spa Resort and SPA gym.
In the historical concept during the twentieth century there were only Spa in Portugal Portugal, SPA's historical terms, which takes the traditional privileges and treatment of water-based immersion or shower. At the end of the twentieth century we are witnessing the emergence of hotel spas that quickly spread across the continent away. The service is based on thermal infrastructure and favors lighter massage and complementary services of the Hotel.
Over time, came the SPA's urban areas with small size and limited services, however with the advantage of avoiding the transportation of clients and can therefore be met in their hometown.
